Android handles media in a more advanced way than the iPhone, meaning you don't need to enable any "Save to gallery" option in WhatsApp, like you had to do on your old iPhone. This is because the Android gallery automatically indexes and displays any media on your phone, regardless of which app they come from.
Due to popular demand, recent WazzapMigrator releases automatically hide WhatsApp images from the stock Android gallery to avoid polluting it with hundreds of albums named "01", "02", "03" due to how they were originally stored on the iPhone.

If you want to see them anyway, you can:
- [Temporary] Install QuikPic, an advanced gallery app that can display them regardless of whether they're hidden or not (folder is WhatsApp/Media/WhatsApp Images)
- [Permanent] Use the embedded functionality in WazzapMigrator

If images are still not shown, you can try resetting the Gallery app (this will not delete your photos):
From Android settings -> Apps -> Gallery -> Clear Data and Cache
